Secret Church is a unique, one-night event.
Friday, April 26 - 7:00p-1:00a
Encouraged by our persecuted brothers and sisters’ example, we will meet for over 6 hours for intense study of God’s Word and passionate prayer for the persecuted.
We will spend time diving deep into the Word of God to hear what He is speaking to us and to grow our dependence and hunger for Scripture.
We will devote time in prayer for our brothers and sisters across the glove who are facing persecution and for those who still have not heard the Gospel.
We will respond to what we’ve heard by giving for the sake of the persecuted and the unreached around the world.
Why “Secret Church?”
The idea behind Secret Church comes from time David Platt spent teaching and ministering among underground Asian house-churches. Due to hostility from the government, from the surrounding community, and even from their own family, many of our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world are forced to gather in secret, sometimes at the risk of their lives.
The plight of our persecuted brothers and sisters also explains why prayer for the persecuted church is a major part of every Secret Church gathering. We remember those who cannot meet openly, asking God to sustain their faith, to change the hearts and the actions of their persecutors, and to use their witness for the spread of the Gospel.
